Why learn Reiki?

Our bodies were not designed for the fast-paced world we live in. Many of us need ways to reconnect with others and ourselves. Reiki helps us slow down, discover a sense of calm, nourish our health, and reconnect with our deepest sense of purpose. The state of relaxation achieved through Reiki encourages physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Learning how to give Reiki enables you to help others tune into their true selves; and receiving Reiki can provide you with renewed clarity and peace.

In today’s modern and busy world, it is vitally important to find a way to connect to ourselves and others. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, anxiety and depression are at an all-time high. That is why at Inner Peace Reiki, we feel called to continue to offer Reiki training through an online platform using Zoom.

We feel that Reiki can be an effective, natural, and non-invasive way to get relief from symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as a myriad of other mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual imbalances. Reiki is a method of energy balancing using the practitioner’s hands for healing. It is a gentle practice that can strengthen the body’s natural healing ability, improve wellness and overall health, reduce stress, and give a sense of calm and quietude.

Reiki moves through the body with an innate wisdom that aligns, integrates, and assists with the healing process. Many massage therapists use Reiki in their practices and over 925 hospitals in the U.S. offer Reiki to their patients. Mayo Clinic is just one of the world-renowned hospitals that is conducting scientific research and offering Reiki treatments as a complementary healing practice for their patients.

The origin and lineage of the teachings are important to the study of Reiki. Inner Peace Reiki respects the practice of Reiki and those who have passed it along, beginning with the teachings of the founder of Reiki, Dr. Mikao Usui. The value of tradition serves as the foundation of Inner Peace Reiki, and the place from which it has evolved. Neil has 20 years of experience in teaching Reiki to over 250 classes and is dedicated to providing students with in-depth and high-quality training, so that students feel confident in their understanding of the teachings.

Reiki is also a mindset that has so much to do with how we greet people and work with people on a daily basis. Much of what you learn is not just how to give a session on a table, but how even a light touch on a person’s shoulder while you are talking can be very calming.
